Statement of Faith
Our doctrinal beliefs come from God's Word. Traditions are helpful in our practice, but they do not inform our doctrinal beliefs. For more details about our beliefs, please contact the church.
What we believe...
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the preserved, infallible, inerrant, inspired words of God. It is the absolute final authority for all matters of faith and practice and for all matters of life. We use the King James Bible for teaching and preaching.
The Trinity
We believe that God exists in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death for all the sins of the world, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His return which is yet to come.
Salvation
We believe that a person is saved by grace through faith. We believe in the eternal security of the believer. We believe that every saved person has the Holy Spirit living in them.
Good Works
We believe that good works do not produce salvation. We believe salvation produces good works.
The Church
We believe that each local New Testament church consists of a local assembly of born-again, baptized believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who are sound in doctrine. The local church has Jesus Christ as its head and its pastor as overseer.
Church Ordinances
We believe that there are only two ordinances for the New Testament church which are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism takes place after salvation and adds the believer to the local church. The Lord’s Supper, as administered by the local church, is to be observed by the members only.
Things to Come
We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of all believers. After the seven-year tribulation, Jesus will return to set up His Millennial Kingdom.
Giving
We believe every member of the local church should give of their time, talent, and tithe to the ministry of the church.
